Tender is the Night

A shy young man remains hidden in the shadows but yearns for the strengh to speak to his secret love.

‘’Tender is the Night’’

  

               Tender is the Night

            Of love’s once shining Star

           By heartaches least wanted

               I adore thee from afar

            And if my soul could render

              All of me I’d give to you

                                                  Along with Cupids sender

            Fly an arrow strong and true

       To pierce mine secret admiration

          Which dwells in shadows blue

           To crack this shell of coyness

             That keeps me far from you

          And if my courage is unleashed

               With cupids perfect aim

      I’ll find the strength and fortitude

           To speak my humble name

                                        But I can only dream of such liaison

            In my secret prison cell

        That binds me too uncertainty

         So mine own passion I must quell

     But if such a moment should arise

                 I fear rejection most

     So I will hide among the shadows

              And still remain a ghost

                         ************

Hi woody, yeah I've been away but still writing. I have been offered a writing oppertunity that could be good for me, and maybe get published at last. Early days yet mind...I penned this while I was having my lunch today (my brain never stops) and it had been a while since I wrote some poetry. Good to hear you turned into a dirty Dawg heart breaker..its much more fun isnt it!

seriously, though, when you get published and become famous, would it be possible for you to send me a signed copy? I doubt very much I'll be able to find your book here.

You got it, but I will not forget my roots so to speak, this site has been a good place to met good friends and I like to come back and read your stories, they always make laugh and put me in a good mood.
Its going to be hard work but its what I enjoy doing so let's see what happens. Hopefully it will all work out.
