I'm placing this poem up again as a tribute to my friend Marie who I have just learned has passed away recently. She was one of the longest and most prolific writers on W.C and her own poems and stories were some of the best I've read. She will be sadly missed.
I do not want anyone to comment on this post, it is not about me, but to reflect on Marie's poems and stories and comment on her's she deserves it most.
Thank You

Very much so.. Love the meaning and how you added it..expanding my thought
this is a very good poem and the theme seems so familiar...the poet is rarely recognized during life...it isn't until death that he or she becomes known and possibly famous...but during life we seem to live in obscurity.
it's how it is...i really like how you expressed it here...sort of like..."hey you never visited me or paid attention when i was writing my poetry, when i was in the stride of life, so why bother now?
well at least remember me.

Susan, Thank you for your kind review, it just reiterates what I have said, editing is so important, you are of course correct it should be 'Lonely''

I like the gray tones you set this too. The form seems as somber as the poem. Nothing a poet writes will every die. Not if it's on the Internet, anyway.
