In respect of a dear friend on W.C ...Marie who passed away recently my deepest symphony to her family she will be sorely missed

Author's Note

Will Neill
I'm placing this poem up again as a tribute to my friend Marie who I have just learned has passed away recently. She was one of the longest and most prolific writers on W.C and her own poems and stories were some of the best I've read. She will be sadly missed.
I do not want anyone to comment on this post, it is not about me, but to reflect on Marie's poems and stories and comment on her's she deserves it most.
Thank You

if agony and aching could feel sweet, then surely these beautifully breathtaking words would be the way. I love the easy flow within this one. It just breezes across the page tugging on the heartstrings of the reader. I cannot imagine the day when the page goes from feeling like a release to constricting. As a writer, it is little pieces of our soul pouring out to share with the world. To see that light flicker out and fade away carries bittersweet memories of the brilliance it once was to the loss of what will never be. enchanting, affecting piece. I will say, at this size, it is a little hard to read..

First, one spell ck item. The first word "Whe" seems like you meant to say "When".
Now for the poem: I think there is a certain solitude to penning our deepest thoughts and emotions on paper. We go to those lonely mountain tops or explore those forgotten caves within our very soul. Then we meld those experiences into words full of power and intentions, yet never exactly enough to convey the whole picture... No matter how hard we try or how openly we divine the poetry to paper or computer screen.
Is it any wonder when others never seem to pay our words the attention we wish they would? Is it any wonder we are disappointed by the impact of our writing? Nobody will ever really know, "The pain I endured to get thus far". Two people in the same place at the same time in the some conditions will still experience the moment uniquely their own.
Honestly, I think when we write about pain, we can either intend to soothe our own souls with our purging or we can seek to show others they are not alone by giving a voice to a pain similar to their own.
When we are gone, we will no longer exist in the now. "Now" is the only reality we can ever experience...
So, once you or I leave this place, it will be too late to come and see and the mourning is only any benefit to those still here.
I feel like you poetry says all of this and more as I read the expression and see the fading rose crossing the words...
Beautiful and philosophically sound!

Yes indeed Will, we are what we write and you have certainly captured a poetic legacy here that will last for eternity!

Creatively penned, a worthy depiction of how one would or might like to be remembered!

A very good poem. I believe we honor the writers. Keeping their words live and well for the youth. Death will come. Can't escape the final dance. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
