All Because of You

My heart races, and my head pounds,
my mind full of thoughts of us.
My confidence builds, and my soul sings,
all because of you.

I summon my nerve and walk up to you,
feeling like king of the world.
But I walked away a different me,
all because of you.

Whispers of my "friends" audible,
but they silenced as I pass.
They mock me for what happened,
all because of you

Vomit fills my toilet bowl,
chunks of anger and sadness.
Blade cuts wrist and blood spills out,
all because of you.

My heart is shattered, my head will explode,
my mind full of thoughts of failure.
Confidence broken and soul defeated,
all because of you

Author's Note

Experimenting with a different kind of writing tonight. I'm interested in seeing how it's received.

Don't worry abut that second to last stanza, merely a literary tool. No self harm involved.
