Just One ViewA Poem by WillFor all the True Writers
I spend all night on one poem,
bending and shifting rhymes. At long last I can post it, For reviews to point out grammar crimes. I leave my piece to the wolves, the wolves of the WC. Hope that someone important will glance at poems by Me. I go to check on my work, on my latest masterpiece. But at that long sought moment, All of my hope shall cease. My poem has one measly view, that's all my hard work has. It drives me somewhat mad, I'm really about to spazz. Hard work and dedication, and this is what I get? Maybe one day I'll be on top; yeah right, wanna bet? But still, I keep on writing, I think it keeps me sane. And I think I like just one view, Despite my speech of disdain. Because I know there's that one person, Who can look and relate to my work. I know there's at least one person to whose face I can bring a smirk. So for that reason I keep writing, for that one person; I dunno who. But hey, if I can count myself, I guess that makes two. © 2013 WillAuthor's Note
