Over the EdgeA Poem by Will
She dangles over the ledge
She took the step over the edge I throw my body to the ground And grab her before she goes down Her eyes stare up into mine As if looking for a sign She asks "Why can't I just die?" "You're too important for that" came my reply "You need to be here," I say "I love you, just please stay!" She lets go of my hand Just wanting to be canned I can't let go of her now, She's more than a face in the crowd She's perfect in my eyes, She's been hurt by too many guys I love her more than anything Because for her I could just sing I need her to be here, I need her to help me steer I pull her up from the cliff, My arm does a dead lift. She's back on my side Good lord, I nearly cried I held her so close, She means more than most And now that I have her back, Ill never let her fall through the cracks © 2013 WillAuthor's Note
