Hour of the Wolf

Hour of the Wolf

A Poem by WillHBIII
"

Inspired by the classic Swedish Horror film "The Hour of the Wolf"

"

Dusk; the beginning of the end, a dark moon rises and hides the time.

Terror creeps low across the dirt floors and slowly she climbs my legs.

Horror; the hour of the howling draws near, she is sick and restless in my lap.

She moves burning pain into my gut. The air is cold. I can see my own breath.

Dawn is near. Now, witness agony! The hour of the wolf!

The hour of the wolf destroys all of my courage.

She takes my spirit in her mouth leaving my brain untouched.

O thou savior sun, alas, you are too late.

That terrorizing final moment in darkness as gripped about me the hand of death.

O horror; the hour of the wolf

O frozen darkness; the hour of the wolf

O unavoidable fate; the hour of my end
