Thoughts on love

I wrote this last year on Valentine's Day. Thoughts about love.

I don't want a dozen red roses, pick me one daisy.
I don't want diamonds and pearls, show me the sparkle in your smile.
I don't want a stay at a 5-star hotel, shelter me in your arms.
I don't want a Hallmark card, write your feelings through unpackaged words.
I don't want to hear a contrived poem, listen to my words as I will listen to yours.
I don't want a fancy restaurant meal, feed my soul as I feed yours.
I don't need to hear "I love you", I will already know, without a word.
