Cold Black Rain

Cold Black Rain

A Poem by Wild Willow Blue
"

Turned to the darkness, the evilness of this world..

"

A fictional girl

and an imaginary world

There, a whispery white ghost cries

a paper soul departs this life

Her heart lies on the floor

cold and black, as her mind begins to fade

her eyes no longer twinkle

All alone, without a thing to

break her fall

nothing at all but the pillow

she clings to

Drenched in rain as it flows, softly, from her eyes

The low tones of music

overpowering her screams

as she waits for someone who never was there

Turned to cold to shelter her pain from the world

she drowns in darkness as back as her eyes

Fear consumes her wasted life

no prayer can save you this time

Only to live another day

in someone else’s eyes
