Falling Trees

Falling Trees

A Poem by Wild Willow Blue
"

One cannot see the forest for all the trees..

"

Past feelings explained by the thumping in my heart

as you speak in low tones from the window

Lies are like hot coals

burnt out, but always there

Run away and never be seen

by the hunters of the darkest forests

Your face is full of light and bright stars

as you peek at me from atop the moon

A love that departed and returned

to find nothing left

Peace be to those who pay nothing to others

return the favor in a kiss from the ghost
