Growing Up

Growing Up

A Poem by Wild Willow Blue
"

Never was easy..

"

The buildings floated up

on the day that I cheated

the coffee spilled all over me

your face remained a mystery

a purple skirt

it’s the addiction that got us

Let’s cure the sickest minds

in the back of a white van

Cherry Pie

you’re sweetest when I die

She never saw it coming

the meteor that struck her down

she cried out your name

I should have gone with him yesterday

when the coffee spilled

and the buildings floated

we brandished those poppy swords

and killed off the ghosts with butterfly nets

The kids own the hearts

and the cookies have seen the sun
