Perplexities of a Warrior's Girl

Perplexities of a Warrior's Girl

A Poem by Wild Willow Blue
"

Never..

"

I’m not mad, John

not a bit

just a little confused

help me out, John

I would not have lied to you

I don’t hate you, John

not a hair…

I just wanna be your friend

I just wanna hold your hand

see you smile

face the day

fight those blue gray tears away

I just wanna see your face again

I just wanna call you grace again

see your blue eyes

see you fall

hear your laughter after all

I just wanna be with you, John

I just can’t get through, John

call your name

hear your voice

my fate is your last choice

I’m not mad, John

let it go, John

face the fire

see the flame

decide my hope in your last name

I never wanted us to end

it should not have gone this way

I feel thrown down and used

discarded and abused

help me out, John

I would never have lied to you
