Shame's Hope

Shame's Hope

A Poem by Wild Willow Blue
"

Running away from the face in the mirror..

"

Slow- the train moves in time-

The beat of a drum- in my ears-

Grease holds the fly to the window-

Pain turns my head from their eyes.

Nothing but sky can I see-

Oh hope- bury me, BURY ME!

Where did it come? The strange thing-

Shame-

Running away is my faith.
