StillA Poem by Wild Willow BlueEverything changes for a reason..The phone rings on her nightstand waking her up She lets it ring for a while she’s waited for this moment forever, it seems She’s thought about what to say over and over again but she has lost her words Wanting so terribly to speak her mind but too afraid to answer she lets the call go to voice mail Frightened of what she’ll hear she’s reluctant to answer the message but she does Hi, it’s me. I know it’s late, but it’s been a long time I just wanted to see how you were doing and what you were up to these days I hope you get this message. Please call me back; I want to hear from you I know you probably hate me for keeping us apart (Delete) She doesn’t want to hear any more if she does, she knows it will make her cry but she stifles back the tears anyway If she knows the person behind that message like she thinks she does then she also knows it won’t be the same way tomorrow or the next day She can’t keep on going like this they used to be inseparable; joined together at the hip but things change and friends lose their way © 2012 Wild Willow BlueAuthor's Note
