Blink Once

Blink Once

A Poem by Wild Willow Blue
"

I am so small in comparison

"
But never have I seen a face
Like lightning through the dark
Taking out your preemptive strike on the world
And I'm longing for you to shut me out
To make a pass that seems unfair
Crumpled up and lonely
And dying in wine colored tears
I suppose I am that fool
And always have been
To you

"longing for you to shut me out"
I like when paradoxes are displayed in poetry...

clever use of one there.
