I'm Sorry

I'm Sorry

A Poem by Wild Willow Blue
"

He walked out today, and said "Good-bye"

"

I’m losing you

Soon now

You’ll be gone

Looking at you is hard to do

Knowing that

I’m losing you

I can spend all day squeezing my hands together; pretending

one is yours. I can spend all day blaming myself for the past, and how

I should have changed everything. I can spend all day dreaming of that

moment I finally saw the pain in your eyes. I can spend all day driving

around, finding our spots, and picturing us there. I can spend all day

thinking of the time when you go. I can spend all day crying,

wishing you’d tell me you loved me again.

But there comes a day when you’ll leave me behind, and move on with

your life. And I want you to know that I will always be happy for you. Find that

new day; that bright, new morning. And smile.
