Overflow

A Poem by Wild Willow Blue
"

I gave them away like paper stars..

"

Why did you spill them

They are all gone now

Like whispers in the wind

Light in the shadows

Bubbles in the air

This living room is a lonely place

Without them

The rainbow lights

Aren't even bright anymore

Without them

Why did you spill them

Like coffee on the floor

Red wine

On a white evening dress

The pain in your eyes

Can’t be distracted

Without them

The movement of your lips

Won’t be the same

Without them
