My Song To You

Every time I think of you,

my heart sings a song I wish you knew.

Its sweet and its sad,

a little happy a little mad,

And a little confusing.

Out of key, missing some notes,

written in 3/4 time

It sounds like a bad idea,

but somehow,

it is beautiful.

I guess, after reading 'tis poetry, i'm seemed to much interesting in reading your few more art/stuffs. I always have a pleasure to read pieces which reflect the persona of writers... in words.. through the glimpse of their emotions they pen on in pages. You've spoken very much just in.. few letters. Most of the time, it's hard to let real nice feelings go outta heart (in simplistic and short way) but you did a very great job here. Perfect rhyme. Perfect storyarcs and beautiful choice of words! Liked it!

In the moment, any song, no matter how off key or odd that can move us inside emotionally can mean so much. Having no other way to explain it it or share it, we can only listen and know that somehow, it represent feelings that lull us into images and thoughts of that person who stirs it up in us. That's what your poem brought to my mind.

This is a simple yet very nice read. I love pieces that express so much in very few stanzas. I can relate to this because i play the guitar. And I've composed plenty of songs that to other people may seem not good but i don't care because like you they are all beautiful to me and i wouldn't change them for anything in the world. :)
