The promise

A short one... To emphasize on curt words for a stronger effect...

One promise, to the end I’ll keep,
Never will I let your heart weep.
Tears may dwell in your eye,
But I’ll wipe them away until I die.
Selfless I will live to your sacrifice,
Hopeless I’ll perish believing your lies.
If God planned for me to feel this way,
I’ll work through this come what may.
