IF THIS IS A MAN III: LOVE ABUSE

The day has overshadowed the night once again.
Once again I wake up expecting him near.
I know he would not be there.
But it does not really hurt to hope....Once again.
It breaks my heart ...again and again.
But I still love that adulterous son of cain.
For he stole my heart away.
But lost his somewhere along the way.

I remember.
How the meaning of his words began to change.
How "am sorry" meant little or nothing.
I remember, how the nights became silent.
And how the day went violent
I remember, how words like "different" became frightening
How his love was delivered with slaps, kicks and somtimes punches.
I can't remember that look of love in his eyes.
Because I cant find love in those eyes anymore.

The day has overshadowed the night, once again
And once again, all I feel is pain
Like the rainbow after the rain.
There should be a good thing after the pain.
To see that is what I crave,
Before what is left of me hits the grave.
