THE RESURRECTION GAME

THE RESURRECTION GAME

A Poem by Chinedu Ubah

I thought my feeling had freed me
But the chains of affection drags me on
Seeing her awoken those desires I thought were dead
It was never my intention of bringing back the dead
I prefer them buried in proper clothing
Playing a game with my heart
One that I have alridy lost, even before it start
My feeling for her was never up for debate
But I refused to take d bait
That cupid probably fired my arrow of affection elsewhere
I have wasted my time looking for that arrow
Nw I need back those hours
Got deflowered by her touch
Now I need back those flowers
I guess I fell for her too late
Now am tearing everything,
Thats between me and her to pieces
And am throwing it all to memory
And I call this game to an end
RiP to the feelings I once had for her
