Chronicles Of A Lost ManA Poem by Chinedu Ubah
I am lost
I now see that fame has its cost The loneliness here is unbearable To the fans, its all desirable I once saw it from their perspective Now my myopia is cured That idea is relative For I can trade this fame for any disease, no matter how odd My old man must be proud of this monster of his creation For It has no true friends, love or any sort of true affection The girls, money, fame, all these I got What use is it if my mother calls me not But whenever am in front of the maddening crowd I realise hw I have made Dad proud Still the amount of crowd cannot fill the emptyness I feel I have lost it all, and I guess now my fate is sealed But still I have made dad proud © 2014 Chinedu Ubah |
