My Friend Time

A Poem by Time's The Bond

My Friend Time

Written: 5-25-13

I waved goodbye

Like an old friend I'd see one day again

That was running quickly, far away

No second thought about it, just smiled and waved

Everyone stared strangely my way

For a moment only then

As if something was chasing them they ran

I only stared in the direction my friend ran

Days came and went

I lived my life and on

Soon wondering when is my friend going to visit?

I don't know where it left to.

One day it just said "bye" then left, nothing more nothing less

More days came and went

Then I made another friend

Things changed

Weren't the same

Had to change myself to be with this new friend

Recollection one night, as thoughts wondered

Why everyone stared strangely that day

When I smiled

As my old friend went quickly away

Why did my friend run?

Why didn't it cry?

Why didn't it leave a little slower?

My old friend? It's name was

Time

As to that and Time never came back

As Time was drifting from my vision

It was dying,, it has died, it died that moment

I realized it was always dying

By then too late

I couldn't grieve

It would seem foolish

So I decided to run, like the others

Run away from my old friend, Times relative

Time can't be a friend but for the occasion it was

I would think about what I did the day I met Time
