Stand In

Stand In

A Poem by Time's The Bond

WRITTEN: 3-10-13

By: Emily Lui

I'm lost

Gone

Away for now

Slipping grips

I've trained her well

To remember the past

And to be me

I'm a little dot you may not find

Until she's walks through the door changed

Then I'll tell you

I'm back”

Crisp air I can't take a breath

Until then I've a stand in

She knows her role well

Do not question why she has yet to change

I told her not to

Father do not cause this stand in to cry

With your blunt mind

And unkind expression

Mother you try but you do not understand yet

I'll let you know when I've come back

I understand why no one

Takes a child life seriously

Though I wish you would know

A child's mind

Is quite easy to understand

And more open than yours

It makes more sense

My tears fall with the rain

I miss you

I hope you understand

I cannot change around you

I am here

Not in spirit

But in record

I am gone

Lost

And away

Though I'll touch my stand in mind

And I'll just watch

I'm here when my stand in dreams
