Pure Sunset

Pure Sunset

A Poem by Time's The Bond

By: Emily Lui

I sit here and wait

Wish to believe

Stop my tears

Stare out

See the sunset

This sun before my eyes

How it ascends high

Happily no matter

How bad the day before

Wise is the sun

To keep going

Forgetting that day

Making eyes shine

With radiance

Its gift

Stare on forever

Wonder

How far my eyes take me

Wonder who to defy

Watch the sun

Wait

Stare forever

So on through this swift life

This is a lovely poem. Simple, nice format, and has a daydream quality

sort of a dayfream of one looking back on life trying to figure out their destiny quite content however with where they have been and where they are headed.

I like the picture you've painted for the readers here. The third stanza is amazing. Well done.
