Helpless

Helpless

A Poem by Time's The Bond

Written: 5-21-12

By: Emily Lui

The tight feel in between

Despite the pain

His hands won’t move

Blood drips

From the hand that holds me

Onto my face

Braced for the words

My lips would say

I moist my lips

Close my eyes

And shout

Let go!”

Those two words

It hurt

The hand grip tighter

In fear I would release

With no doubt I did

And slipped out of his wet sweaty hands

The hand that held me

I saw it open after I was gone

Not only did tears sting the arm

But his helpless face

Was the last thing I saw

Before my heart stopped

She fell

A smile on her face

Miles and miles down

Slowly disappeared into the abyss

My tears dive from my eyes

To find her

As I hung motionless

Wordless

I felt so helpless

The three words I wanted her to hear

Clearly and in my grasp for the first time

That moment vanished

Will God tell her for me?

Author's Note

Time's The Bond
This could go two ways: Picture it from a realistic view (from a cliff)
OR you can picture it: as an angel who had become a fallen angel.
