CLIMBINGA Poem by AidenLifes is one big climb, keep climbing until you reach the stop, but still... Carry on
Climbing up this dirty mountain
Many faces in these stones I pass them with sweat Swiftly pouring down my face Depleted I feel I just want to go home Out of look, fingers dry Dead skin, dehydration... climb Looking down, vertigo chases Dizziness, money falling from my mind My bank is being sucked dry Still, I got to climb Clouds hang low Fog is developing The higher I go up The forecast is changing The mood swings from left to right Cold air breathing from within Still, I got to climb Dirt, deep within my fingernails Rain gushing, soil moulding into mud Hands nearly slipping, from my soul Ripped clothes, battered mind Physicality, mentality, energy All... Being sucked dry Still, I got to climb Not, so far to go Not, so far to climb My memory is now Starting to bite Thinking about what I've been through Will the devil let me see this through Will the rain slow down their race Will the sky be blue again Still, I got to climb I now look down at what I've done What I've accomplished I can now see the sun Beaming down it's smiling light A golden glow now casts it's might Dripping with memories Of purple flames The world is now open again Still... I got to climb © 2013 Aiden |
