When?

She wonders why I try so hard.

When I will give up and let her be.

She dreads the day, 

But makes it seem like she wants me to go.

She starts fights.

And claims "I don't know." 

When asked "Why?"

She wonders when I'll snap and make her go.

I always tell her "Never."

"Never will the day come

that I don't want to have you around."

I never convinced her.

And now

I am constantly wandering whether that was the case.

Will I ever ask her to leave me alone?

Perhaps no one has ever told her they want her around. Perhaps she's been told "Go away" too many times to believe you. She may be too prepared for that day when you make her leave you alone than she should be.

She has been expecting it for far longer than I have. Of course she is.
Perhaps she should trust me enough to believe me.

Maybe you've given her a reason not to. Maybe you came so close to running her off one day that she got scared that it would happen again, only worse.

I've apologized time and again but she refuses to even consider I might be doing so sincerely.

No she doesn't. It's just hard to regain a person's trust after something like that. She loves you, but she is absolutely terrified of it happening again.

Or maybe you've only apologized for one thing you said that day, rather than the argument itself. Maybe she's still upset because you almost made her go away. What if she's still crying because you told her you don't care about her?
