Mirror, You Are MeA Poem by *~Kristy~*
I stare into the mirror, knowing that this is not me,
The girl in the glass screams, trying so hard to break free, When my pulse races, and I'm on the brink of tears, I turn to her, reflecting my many insecurities and fears, With her eyes she silently begs and she pleads, Freedom is what she wants - what she needs, She was once a girl of hopes and dreams, A girl who was torn apart at the seams, Then she stepped aside, Letting me set up the rules for her to abide, She created a monster, Now when I stare into the mirror, she is my haunter... © 2010 *~Kristy~*Author's Note
