Ring Of PowerA Poem by *~Kristy~*
Alone at night she weeps,
Shakes and shivers beneathe the sheets, Teardrops and bloodstains, Relics of a life in vain, She has forgotten what the wind used to feel like, How beautiful the stars are at night, The warmth of the suns rays, She has even lost track of her days, Only the moonlight beams upon her pallid ashen skin, She has forgotten where she has come from, where she has been, She holds it in her frail hand, The most "precious" thing in all the land, It has consumed her more with each passing day, Leaving her no home, but the cold rock in which she lays, She hasn't heard another voice in years, Her eyes are weak from all of her tears, In her possession the most desired ring of all time, To it, the darkest and purest of hearts could bind, She tries every day to let it go, But it has forced her to abandon all chance of hope. © 2010 *~Kristy~*Author's Note
