Frozen Soul

The Frozen Soul

 

Sunlight streams,

Upon a frozen soul that cannot recieve the warmth that it brings,

It crawls and it seeps through the cracks,

But, here, the power to warm it will always lack,

 

Rain falls,

Tearing down mold-covered walls,

The flailing barriers around the aura that is a soul,

Making all attempts of safety in vain and woe,

 

Wind shakes,

Bringing to the frozen soul shivvering aches,

That in the darkness can never mend,

But the wind is it's only friend,

 

Clouds hover,

They won't just leave the soul alone and find another,

The blackness that they contain,

Make every attempt by the soul to thaw in vain,

 

Screams shatter,

Reverberating inside the souls head with such a loud clatter,

They rip it apart from the inside out,

Filling its mind vision with memories of what its out,

 

Passion flares,

But oh so pointless is it's captivating stare,

It will never again find the warm soul,

The one that it lost so long ago,

 

Dreams die,

By so many failed tries,

Now they are just things forgotten,

Hopes no longer begotten,

 

Heaven shines,

And the soul promises that it is fine,

Though the light from above seems so far away,

But she will not try to reach it, here she will stay,

Because she is frozen in place.
