Mother Said:

 

"My life is worth nothing here,"

Instilling within me a burst of fear,

"I'm always pretending whenever I smile,"

Me too.

"Don't ever fall in love,

Only adore he who watches from above."

 

Father said:

 

"All that you can do in life is make money,"

He gave up on love when he made a mistake and married her,

"All of them will leave me,"

He promised that one day I would see,

He threatens to gain control,

But the years of battle are taking their toll,

 

Sister said:

 

"I love you sissy,"

And whenever I am gone she is the one I'm really missing,

She cries as I cry,

And she doesn't know what it's like to lie,

When I think of what she will go through growing up,

I know she willl not be able keep all of her love,

 

Teacher said:

 

"The last two years I've only tried to make you smile and mean it,

But he never knew me when inside a flame was lit,

And then I betrayed him,

All on a powerful selfish whim,

He doesn't try to make me smile anymore,

He doesn't look at me as he did before,

 

Best Friend Said:

 

"I'll be here for you always,"

She promised to stay till the end of our days,

But then she left,

It seems at lying she was inept,

I miss her dearly,

And the days when I didn't see so clearly.

 

 

Boyfriend Said:

 

"I will always love you,"

And, though he's hurt me before, I believe it to be true,

He is my life,

And in the dark he is my light,

He holds me when I cry,

With him there are no rules to abide,

 

God Said:

 

Nothing

The ending, so short, so strong, so swift- I'd almost imagine I was punched in the face! That's something I've got to completely admire in a poet~
