Shield Of IceA Poem by *~Kristy~*Crimson dribbles down a stone wall, The imposing sun creeps through the many cracks in the falling roof, And the cold ground is torn into little filthy blocks in many places,
My hair hangs limply in matted tufts over my face, Tears burn my cheeks like fresh flame, And scarlet streams down the many gashes lying across shimmering palid skin,
I'm burning on the inside, Freezing on the inside, Bleeding everywhere,
Pieces of my heart lay everywhere, Scattered across this stone floor, It's so cold...
The light tries so hard to reach me here, But a shield of ice covers my body, The warmth will not find me here,
My shield of ice is inpenetratable, Heat cannot melt it, Nor can it simply go around,
So I remain here, Freezing - so close to an unwilling death, And burning - so close to killing myself.
