Just Walk Through The Doors

Just Walk Through The Doors

A Poem by *~Kristy~*

Just take a deep breath,

Forget about being left,

Put on that fake smile,

The one you haven't seen in a while,

Lose that face in your head,

Forget the life you once lead,

Don't be afraid of what gave you and took away,

Of what everyone else will say,

Ignore the sideways glance,

From an old friend staring out you seemingly in a trance,

Don't fear the admiring glances of men,

They will understand where you are coming from and where you have been,

Cover your arms with long sleeves,

So you don't have to explain what others believe,

Brush your hair over your face,

So that the sadness there is no trace,

Wipe your mind clean,

Don't think about the happiness he used to bring,

Take a deep breath,

And then take that first step,

Just take that breath,

Forget about being left,

Put on that fake smile,

The one you haven't seen in a while.

This is such a sad poem. Delicate and spun of silk. Those feelings are so well known. It flows smoothly.
