Scarlet Droplets Fall

Scarlet Droplets Fall

A Poem by *~Kristy~*

Scarlet droplets fall,

Streaming down a stone wall,

Virgin body shivers,

From the cold water of the river,

Palid ashen skin,

Covered with scars from a battle she couldn't win,

Hair matted with blood and dirt,

Sillhouetting a face full of agonizing hurt,

She fell long ago,

She took a devastating blow,

Heartache reverberates throughout her heart,

Every day it rippes her apart,

She's been abused,

She's felt so used,

She's cried for days,

Floating around in a dark haze,

Dreams of death,

Behind every gasping breath,

Nightmares of him,

Memories that won't go dim,

Scarlet droplets fall,

As her mouth mutters a pleading call,

Tears stream,

She's ripping apart at the seam,

Scarlet droplets fall.

I like the edited version a lot more. As I was playing around with the review page I tried to delete the double posting of my earlier review and blotted the whole thing out - c'est la vie. Nice writing.

This poem was beautifully worded. The description was just perfect. The comparison of 'scarlet drops' to an extreme of an emotion was done brilliantly. I guess... I dont have much words to describe how beautiful it was. Great work.
