What I SawA Poem by *~Kristy~*Look inside your mind and what do you see? Do you want to know what I see? A cold barren rock lays under my feet, Flames fall from the sky in little droplets like rain, Yet the ice does not melt, This place is hot and cold, frozen and burning.
Mountains surround me like a box, I cannot get out, And flames lap over them as well, Yet the ice still does not melt,
On the ground I lay, Curled into a ball in fear, Hair in matted twists, And face covered in falling tears,
Eyes are red, Skin is ashen, Lips are purple, Teeth sharp,
My fingernails like claws rake at my face, Trying to claw my way out of this body, Out of this world, Out of this life,
Screams are not escaping my throat, But they are all around me, Filling me with agony, Ripping my soul apart,
Ther is no such thing as time and space, Ther is no human race, There is nothing, Just me,
I'm the last thing left, And I cannot die, Though I try, My life will not douse,
So I lay broken, On a cold frozen wasteland, While fire rains down, Trapped in a box, in a body.
This was what I saw. © 2009 *~Kristy~* |
