"

A teen standing up to her controlling mother, finally escaping her mother's demands and leaving to find out what it feels like to be like every other teen she knows. She needed an escape from her bad-tempered, cantankerous mother and she finally discovere

"

I knew someday she would lose me

But I told myself it couldn't be

I thought I could never, never build up the strength

To leave my mother or the bottomless pit

But finally the pit has filled and my heart has swelled

From all this pain and agony that has fantastically failed

To make me continue to do as this woman may please

I'm getting tired of having to patch up my knees

I must embark on a journey and be a free woman

For her prison bars cannot and won't hold me prisoner, nothing can

It's time for her to realize that, even if I am only fifteen

About
Hey. I'm Rae. I got into writing when I was about 12. I mostly did poetry and used to write the silliest poems. I could write one about anything. But not too long after I started, I got writer's block.. more..
