All so tender

All so tender

A Poem by Throwing Romeo
"

25 days alone adrift

"

as i squint blurry
finger in this hole
dark fins of hunger
lap my weary soul

twirling salty way
keeping mindful
float
calling liquid echo
mermaid's single
note

heavy eyes surrender
horizon drifts to gray
her kisses all so tender
my fingertip's
away

A gentle soliloquy, hidden warm.. saved for another, written with care because - you care. There are gaps where you whispered, thoughts yet to birth .. dreams to come from dreams dreamed

Love your style of just throwing it on the page with little more than a few simple paragraphs of gently rhymed acquaintance. The word Tender stands out to me here. Not sure why, but it gives pause. I enjoyed reading this.

out at sea for so long begs for clear imagination, including some very sensual ones…..
your journey is very descriptive, colorful , vivid and shows us what it’s like to be alone, longing for company and losing time, brain fog and more… a very cool write!

a very interesting piece that's a bit erotic and very soulful. the feelings of the persona are left unsaid, but we know he has lost himself in this moment. very well-written, full of great imagery and the reader easily picks up on the unspoken parts.

Pleased you gave this review.
thank you Ern.
There’s a lovely, subtle intimacy to this poem. It feels almost womb-like if we could create wombs to enclose us from the power of the outside world to intrude on those most tender moments. The poem invites the reader into a sense of calm togetherness but reminds at the same time that we are sharing in echoes. It’s a lovely, lyrical work.
