I only imagine them though
Sturdy ones
Thick and older the better
Hand made
Never green never blue
Got to have corks sticking out
My bottles need to be unsinkable
I imagine letters too
Poems mostly
Songs
All rolled into one
I toss them into the sea
I toss and i toss
You see
I never want them back
I only want them rescued
I imagine them sparkling
In the moonlight
Bobbing and pointing thier
corks at the stars
I absolutely love this. Not only did I at first imagine the bottles as a metaphor for people - perhaps past loves/relationships that had fallen out, but the descriptions are lovely, as is the language. The poems and songs inside, and being unsinkable brings life to the people, and wanting them rescued speaks of maturity and growth. Alone, the poem speaks of giving, the offering of a better world, and hoping there will be takers. Beautiful regardless.
dear poet... the Ocean reaches a myriad of Rescuers who search for Lyrical poetry to bring peace and camaraderie to a World of uncertainty. May Blessings flow and become Gifts to share with Humanity. softly, Pat

Out, out damned spot? Words, letters - tossed aside perhaps either unwanted or wanting to discover whether others find them more worthy than you might. For me, better the clear glass - cork askew than a tin with its label on show.

Cranberry and Bristol glass don't need labels - peeled or not!
Some people (poets too) don't want us to read their work.... and some of us just create so that someone wheresoever will enjoy it.... these are your imaginations as to whom will eventually receive these gems...your imaginations show us vivid images of the cosmos... thank you for sharing!
Warmly, B
