Some people

Some people

A Poem by Throwing Romeo

Some people collect bottles

I only imagine them though
Sturdy ones
Thick and older the better
Hand made
Never green never blue
Got to have corks sticking out
My bottles need to be unsinkable

I imagine letters too
Poems mostly
Songs
All rolled into one

I toss them into the sea
I toss and i toss
You see
I never want them back
I only want them rescued

I imagine them sparkling
In the moonlight
Bobbing and pointing thier
corks at the stars

Just dont want them back

I absolutely love this. Not only did I at first imagine the bottles as a metaphor for people - perhaps past loves/relationships that had fallen out, but the descriptions are lovely, as is the language. The poems and songs inside, and being unsinkable brings life to the people, and wanting them rescued speaks of maturity and growth. Alone, the poem speaks of giving, the offering of a better world, and hoping there will be takers. Beautiful regardless.

Some people (poets too) don't want us to read their work.... and some of us just create so that someone wheresoever will enjoy it.... these are your imaginations as to whom will eventually receive these gems...your imaginations show us vivid images of the cosmos... thank you for sharing!
Warmly, B

S**t. I understand this. I don't want them back. I don't want them read. I just want them away from me. I feel this deeply.

Oh, this is beautiful. My heart attaches to it like a child holding a kite in her fist. Thanks for letting this out.
