The Favor

The Favor

A Poem by Throwing Romeo

cremate my remains

sift my bones out

funnel me

into this

flask

and

DO

SO

.....I left this note of last request....

to you my friend who knew me best

the one I could always count on the most

let's go for a drive and have our last toast

load up our kayak and our bike built for two

bring something warm, the sweater I made for you .

don't take a camera or even your phone

okay then turn it off and leave it in the glove box

where was I ? oh...don't bum out and stay home

look sorry for the rhyming ... I know how you feel about this, but there is something

I need you to do ...

please take me where we sat on that huge rock etched out by the crashing waves

behind the Cliffhouse restaurant in San Francisco. You know...you split popcorn

remember that crusty old speckled seagull that almost knocked me off... let's go there...
