There Was A Girl
She Wasn't The Prettiest
Or The Smartest
Or The Skinniest
She Was Teased
For Having Bad Acne
For Getting A 'C' Average
For Being A Size 20



So She Decided
That She Was Going To Change


First She Started With Her Acne
It Cleared Up Soon
Nobody Noticed

She Was Still Bullied


Then She Studied Hard
And Got Straight A's
Nobody Noticed

She Was Still Bullied


Finally She Worked On Her Weight
She Exercised Hard
She Ate Healthy

And When She Dropped

To A Size 18
Nobody Noticed

Then
To A Size 16
Nobody Noticed

She Kept Going
She Was Still Being Bullied

She Dropped More

Now
A Size 14
Nobody Noticed

She Started Wearing Clothing
With Long Sleeves

She Finally Got To The Size
She Wanted

She Was Now A Size 12
But Still
Nobody Noticed

Nobody Noticed
How Hard She Had Tried
Or
How Much She Cared
Or
How Much It Hurt Her That
The Bullying Continued.

One Day She Didn't Come To School
Nobody Noticed
Or Cared

She Didn't Show Up For The Week
Nobody Noticed
The Bullies Had Found
Somebody Else
For A While


She Hadn't Been At School
For 2 Weeks
When Those Bullies Actually
Realised
She Wasn't There Anymore
They
Had A Thought

What Has Happened To Her?

The News Came
Over The Loudspeaker
The Entire School Found Out

This Girl
That Was
Bullied
Ignored
Treated Like Nothing

This Girl That
Nobody Noticed
Unless They Were Ruining Her
Was No Longer With Us

Her Funeral Is On Friday
For Any Friends
That Might Want To Go
Everyone Remained Silent

The Truth Leaked Out
About What Happened
To Her

She
Had Been Found
Last Week
Lying On Her Bed
With Red Waterfalls
Flowing From Each Wrist
And "I Tried"
Written On A Page Torn
From A Red Stained Note Book
