Lights were glowing once.
Now darkness consumes the land
Because no one cared.

There is such a bittersweet sadness here.. an aching longing for the embers of light that once filled the earth with compassion.. mercy... And now? Now the world is flooded with so much selfishness... May it rise again... as spring from winter...

Beautiful insight, Jacob. (God as an imperfect being? That would be a fun topic to explore, especially in the poetic sense!)
I also imagine poor WALL-E, cleaning up all the garbage left behind by the careless humans, not caring how their precious planet fell into neglect. Its the little things that need our greatest attention.
