Dear Me,

Dear Me,

A Story by WhiteWillow
"

A letter to my ten-year-old self

"
Dear Me,
You don't know that thirty years have passed because you're still ten.
Look at you, in your pigtails and freckles and your boyish physique! You may think you're awkward, but you have no idea how cute you are. Your friends may make you question your likes and dislikes, because they change daily, just like theirs do. And you may wonder if it's still okay to play with Barbie dolls, or if you're old enough to watch the neighbor's baby.
I'm an adult, and I'm not about to tell you what's right, or okay, or acceptable. You won't listen to me anyway. You're ten.
I accept you, and your decisions. Keep doing what you're doing. It's all going to turn out okay.
Love,
Me
