Cruci-Christi

Cruci-Christi

A Poem by WhiteRabbit

Don't tell the truth
that he really
died on an 'x'
was he the one
or some someone
Hung up in view
before our eyes
Etched above him
we could see it
the length and means
of his short life
There and propped up
like the photo
on my night stand
of a long dead
relationship
that crucifies
some part of me
King of something
just like I am
ace of all things
Ignorant fools
the Pharisees
have labeled us
Because we feel
and for our hope
Collectively
everyone's selves
Nailed to our posts
for impudence
We lamedvavniks
hidden righteous
unwittingly
waiting for time
to unveil us
