A new horizon found

Escaping darkened clouds of scorn and innuendos, 
I'm met with silence, as I look upon a new horizon. 
Boats filled with doubt now drift away with the breeze,
and painful memories I cast out upon the foreshore.

Overwhelming  confidence builds a bridge over my heart,
my happiness, no longer devoured by gluttonous seagulls,
a new found strength of will, energizers me, 
just as a coffee gives us vigor in the mornings.

Ripples of calming colors now paint a once blackened sky,
with gentle breath's I inhale this life anew.
Never again shall arrogance become my demise, 
for the me I lost, has now been found renewed.
