Another day breaksA Poem by Heartswhispers(Kylie Jensen)
Daybreak came before sleep could ever be interrupted, she had watched the night sky with darkened thoughts all night. Her eyes lids heavy with layered blankets of depression, she feels defeated before her day even starts.
People ask her how she is doing, but it's hard to answer the question "what's wrong" when nothings right. She tries to smile before the tears form properly, if they start, she fears they'll never cease. They increase her pills to make her feel better, but this time the pressure doesn't seem to ease, she feels she stuck in this darkened corner, this time no light flickers, showing her the way out. She struggles to maintain her daily assignments, work can not be just thrown aside, the children she still must tend too, but all she wants to do is run and hide. Life itself has become a heavy weight, she feels the endless burden of staying alive. Pressure builds itself within her mind, until no logic thought can be contained, she feels like shes running on empty, life giving blood no longer courses freely throughout her veins. She wants Momma to and come make things easier, kiss it better like she did when she was a child, everything was mended so easily, just too stick on a band-aid and heal her broken mind. © 2011 Heartswhispers(Kylie Jensen) |
