Song of Summer

Song of Summer

A Poem by Amortentia03
"

A continuation of my previous poem, Song of Spring.

"

I can see you’re flying

Much more strongly now than before

And when I hear your song in the night, it only brings comfort.

No underlying fear of pain and dying

Are strewn across the chorus.

You seem to glisten in the rays

Of the sunlight. You have pushed away the trees

To let the beams illuminate your forest.

The rains are falling now, too but not

Droplets of acid as before,

They are soft, nourishing, refreshing

What once grew. What you have wrought

Is not just a forest home, or a fleeting song.

You have made a symphony and a sanctuary where you can be,

And I can be, and we can be together safely as we continue

To rejuvenate what was almost gone.

I am left with the mystery and wondering of who is "you" in this poem. The language in your poem is beatiful and I enjoyed every word...time to go read your Song of Spring.
