GoldenA Poem by Amortentia03I hear opportunity is of Gold. Still, I prefer Silver (so long as it Is mine). I needn’t boldness, courage, wit, Just to stay out whenever cards may fold. Never risking with sacrifice untold. ‘Tis much simpler to be simple. Sit, There is no need to be eager. The bit Is already chomped. Your eagerness can hold. But the sidelines are a most lonely place. For, spectators will but only spectate. We believe this is all there is for us And we fade our qualities that give grace So that we may see how others are great. Forgetting that we were ever precious. © 2010 Amortentia03Reviews
