Dear Daddy,

Dear Daddy,

A Poem by Amortentia03

A little girl looks out the window

A little girl stares at the moon

A little girl looks at your picture

Wishing you home soon.

That little girl can’t live without you

That little girl still needs your touch

That little girl thinks you’re the whole world

She loves you so much.

And she’s

(chorus)

Seen you stop the world

By pulling her into a hug

She’s felt you lift her spirits

With that unconditional love.

Little girl the king is coming

Riding in on his fast horse

He’s riding in to save you

To keep his princess safe, of course.

Don’t think for one minute,

He wanted to let go of your little hand

But before a princess can find her prince,

She must learn how to stand.

And it nearly broke him down

To see you walk away,

But it helps him to see the wonderful things

You’re doing everyday.

That teenage girl she tries her best

To resist your charms

But no matter how hard she tries

He heart lies in your arms.

That teenage girl might say she hates you

But you must know that’s a lie,

She just hopes this will take away the pain

When she must say goodbye.

And she’s gonna miss the way she’s

(chorus)

Seen you stop the world

By pulling her into a hug

She’s felt you lift her spirits

With that unconditional love.

Little girl the king is coming

Riding in on his fast horse

He’s riding in to save you

To keep his princess safe, of course.

Don’t think for one minute,

He wanted to let go of your little hand

But before a princess can find her prince,

She must learn how to stand.

And it nearly broke him down

To see you walk away,

But it helps him to see the wonderful things

You’re doing everyday.

That little girl is now a woman

And she’s walking down the isle,

She has to look, but through those tears

She knows there’s a smile

Your little girl is in the front of the church

Her prince is right beside her

But she’d never have the courage to find him

Without you there to guide her.

And she’s

(chorus)

Seeing you in this stopped world

Longing for your hug

Her spirits are as high as they get

Overflowing with unconditional love.

Oh King, your little girl’s grown up

But you still have her heart and her fast horse

She might be going away but she’ll come back

To see her first true love, of course.

Don’t think for one minute,

She’s ready to let go of your hand

But this princess has found her prince

And it’s time for her to stand.

And it will nearly break her down

To see you walk away,

But it helps her to remember the wonderful things

You did for her each day..

This little girl looks out the window

This little girl stares at the moon

This little girl looks at your picture

Wishing you home soon.

This little girl can’t live without you

This little girl still needs your touch

This little girl thinks you’re the whole world

I love you so much.

I liked this one alot!

It's true when we're younger we tend to cast our parents as rolemodels or heros, then as we get older and hit the teens we may say things we dont really mean but still our love is there, it lasts.
