The Rocking Chair

The Rocking Chair

A Poem by JAK
"

Just a quickie...

"

I shiver at the touch

Of a hand long gone cold,

As I sit and rock

In my memories of old.

The hand of fear

Constantly by my side,

As I sit and rock

No escape, I tried.

The rocking chair creaks

The rocking chair groans,

My cushion leaks

The sound of her moans.

One day, I say

I will leave this chair

Escape my world

And my self reflecting stare.

Until that day I am bound

To sit and rock

To sit and rock

To sit and rock…

Nicely done. I have to wonder what the real prison is, the chair or the mind.

About
I would bash my head on the keyboard but I'm afraid of messing up the keyboard first, and messing up my head second. Mostly because my head is already messed up, and my keyboard is the only sane on.. more..
